The iStrive Community Ambassadors program brings together caring, engaged individuals who want to make a meaningful impact. Ambassadors help create spaces where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to connect.

By showing up with kindness, patience, and presence, Ambassadors help transform everyday moments into opportunities for belonging.

Who This Is For

We welcome Ambassadors ages 16-17 and 18+ who enjoy connecting with others and are open to learning. Ideal candidates – whether students, professionals, or retirees – are patient, understanding, comfortable with differences, and committed to be fully present and engaged.

What Ambassadors Do

While Ambassadors are not expected to provide personal care or medical assistance, they may take part in a variety of supportive, social activities, including:

Joining group games, creative projects, and events

Encouraging conversation and social interaction

Assisting with event setup and cleanup

Offering companionship to members

Modeling inclusive and respectful behavior

What to Expect

Once You Apply

  • Our team will review your application

  • Applicants may be contacted for an interview

  • Approved applicants will be onboarded and welcomed as iStrive Community Ambassadors

All Ambassadors agree to follow our Code of Conduct and uphold iStrive Community values.
